Hi, I’m Pat! A wedding filmmaker from Lancashire, North West England.
My journey into filmmaking began from a very early age, when I would borrow my Grandfather’s camcorders to make films with friends or even just using toys instead of actors! As I started my early teens I was lucky enough to get my hands on Mini-DV and digital camcorders, and would spend every weekend forcing my friends to act in short films and sketches which I would shoot, direct, and edit. Throughout my childhood, teenage years, and early 20’s this was my one and only hobby and I would spend every moment I could either behind or in front of a camera making ‘movies’.
I studied Media in both High School and college, and my practical video work was always above and beyond what was expected of us at that level since I already lived and breathed film. I then went on to hone my skills on a professional level at a specialist TV & Film production school called Futureworks, in Manchester. However, I believe that my years of self-taught filmmaking, even prior to any Media-based education, were far more valuable to my career and has moulded the unique style and vision that you can hopefully see in my wedding films today.
Behind The Business
When choosing the right person to capture your wedding on film, surely it's best to go with the guy who not only loves wedding films, but loves films full stop? 'Cause thats me! And I've got the special edition Steelbook blu-ray collection, movie themed tattoos, Lego models, and prop replicas to prove it. Like I said, I'm a 'Nostalgia Nerd'.
Pictured in these photos are some of the things I love: My girlfriend of 10 years Sammie, our crazy Bichon puppy Buddy, mini breaks in the Lake District, my love of celebrating Halloween, and my love of comic book movies (yes, I built that life sized Stormbreaker replica for my Thor costume!).
Sammie is a lay in the sun by a beach or pool kinda gal, and I'm a whisky by the fire in a log cabin on a rainy autumn night kinda guy. They do say opposites attract!
